Shallow Bay, Newfoundland

This wooden walkway at Shallow Bay Provincial Park was built to help preserve the dune vegetation. We had hoped for a long walk on the beach, but with rather ominous clouds gathering and increasing winds, we knew that our walk was going to be shorter than hoped for. But the distant sound of the waves on the shoreline did provide for a wonderful way to drift off to sleep that night......And the tent got soaked!
