Pink & Yellow Rose.....

Way back when I was just a little guy, every autumn, my mother used to have me wrap all of her rose bushes with burlap, or "brin bags" as we called them. This morning while passing a little time playing around with this image, I happened to recall those events from my childhood years. This rose is from my own back yard now, and it is from a bush that was planted for my father. Hope you enjoy it also.

Thank you Mike for your comments. They are much appreciated. I will not be posting very often in the next little while, as I am about to start a little project to upgrade our home. It will be a complete tear out and rebuild of our kitchen, as it is quite dysfunctional at present. Wish me luck....and yes, the hand is coming along nicely now. Thanks, Dave

The rose is beautiful. Its amazing how thiese images ( and the smells of flowers) can bring back so many memories. The smell of wild strawberries takes me back to my Aunt and Uncles dairy farm in Pasadena (Midland at the time) Thank you for your comment on my blog.
