A Flash of Brilliance..

This colourful fellow was indeed a flash of brillance against a very dull background, as he darts about. These birds do not sit still very long at all, and you have to be very quick on the shutter. This one is for Frank, who took me on a little tramp around the trails at Ojibway Conservation area today.

I have absolutely no idea how you can take a walk in the woods on a somewhat overcast snowy day and find colour hidden within.
My guess would be--- it's called Talent. Bev and I really enjoyed the photos.
All the best in your future endeavor--you know what I mean!

Hey Frank,
Thanks for the kind comment. As I told you recently, you are also progressing well along the road to "seeing" the world in a different light. Photography does that to you over time.

Thanks for dedicating the photo of the Cardinal to me! I have always enjoyed the vibrant red of the male Cardinal perched in a tree or against a fresh snow fall.
Hope you liked Ojibway.

Frank,
I really enjoyed Ojibway, and I appreciate you showing me about and taking the time to be somewhat of a personal guide for me. Thank you Sir.

Beautiful shot, Dave - your Chrismas card for next year? I love Ojibway but I don't think I have been in the winter - since I left Essex County in 1969 I rarely come back in the winter ;-)

Krys & Paul,
Thank you for your comments. We are still trying to get used to the winters here, as they are almost non-existent compared to the North. But we like the early Spring arrivals. Thanks, Dave
