Water Lilies.....

It is a cold February day today, and instead of being out braving the elements, I decided to play on the computer for a while. This was a natural progression of things, as I was making a couple of prints for Competition night at the Windsor Camera Club tomorrow evening. This image has been sitting on my computer for quite a while, and it was in colour of course. However, I decided I would have a go at it and see how it would look as a sepia toned image. It has an old quality to it, and as the original was made on slide film, which was scanned to make a digital file, I figured that the old look was appropriate. The ragged edge almost gives it an arty look, so I tried to print it out on some Strathmore Watercolor art paper, just to experiment a little. Well, the results were less than stellar, as I realized afterward that real art paper is not treated to make it useful for printout on an inkjet printer. Lesson learned...So I guess, just posting it on here will have to do for now, as I have other things to catch up on. Till next time.......
