From a Box Brownie, to the latest digital gear, it is all just tools, or a means of stating who we are, at various points in time. The sophistication of our images has more to do with our personal growth, than the equipment that we acquire along the way.

No, I'm not high or inebriated, but this image is the result of more experimenting, and probably some may view it and say, "Yup, the old guy has gone over the edge now". It is just me letting my imagination run wild...sort of reminds me of Cathy Jones of CBC's This Hour Has 22 Minutes, who used to end her monologues with "I'm just goofin' around, that's all". For quite a while, I felt like I had "hit the wall" creatively, and after much mulling it over, I realized that I was not having any fun with my photography anymore. So, starting this year, I've decided to have fun. Not too sure where this will take me, but we shall see. It is time to stop being so serious about it all, it is just pictures, right? At one time, capturing the perfect flower, or bird, or whatever, used to be the end goal. Now, for me, capturing the image of an object, is just the starting point. I have no preconceived ideas of what I intend to eventually do with it. That is the fun stuff....and hopefully now, it will be all about having fun....hope some of you enjoy it also.
Again, Happy 2018!!
